The Swan Cat
There's a great restaurant on Queen West called The Swan. My friend Kerry Freek saw this sweet one sitting on their chairs waiting to get a table! What a sweet face for a restauranteur.

that special someone
I have a huge space reserved in my heart for this special-faced Cowan avenue sweetheart.
Such an oddly beautiful special face, with freckled eyes and big lips!
and the softest blonde fur!
And the tenderest nature.
This kitty identifies as neither gender, and uses the pronoun "they". Good kitty. Dreamy.
They demonstrated an adorable kitten habit of rolling around in the dirt and leaves - yet they stay so clean and well groomed!

Come to Cat Island
Tashirojima, or “Cat Island”, in Japan:
A long long time ago on Tashirojima, mice were scarfing down the silkworms being raised to make silk, so the farmers brought in a few cats to scarf down the mice.
Fishermen noticed they could predict weather by the cat's behaviour, and considered cats good luck!
The cat population is now larger than the human population (around 100 peeps).
The human residents have a special reverence for cats, which appears in their shrines...
...and architecture.
Why do they all have to be kittens?

Lost Cat Art
An amazingly designed lost cat poster on Elm Grove. This one has been up for at least a year.
I hope the 5 lbs of love was found!

Intimacy nerves
This guy’s face says it all. I never knew a cat could have social anxiety, but this one clearly does! This is the face I make when I’m nervous up in da club.
Just chillaxin', but still so anxious! Look at his back foot - awkward kitty! Unlike with humans it just makes him cuter. Excellent double paws, bro.
This beaut lives on my street - Spencer Ave!

under-sized love addict
This little whippersnapper was scrambling up and down porches on Elm Grove, looking for someone - anyone! - to love him.
Luckily he ran into the right cat lady on yonder grassy knoll. Didn't we almost have it all?

CAT DADDY
New dance craze, y'all! Inspired by cats! I don't like Chris Brown cause he whooped Rihanna and was remorseless, BUT I love his music and this dance and all the other peeps involved!

Catfitti Part Troix
What kind of animal do you think this is that someone drew in this dangerous alley way in Parkdale?
This “mow”ing kitty is in Milky Way between Cowan and Elm Grove.
The Milky Way is lovely and magical because of its name and all the colorful graffiti in it, but it's also a source of Black Magic - when Kalim (my best gay shopping buddy) first moved into Parkdale, they found the severed ear of a sex worker in it.
Whoops, there it is.

Gwynne Avenue sun-bathing baby.
This princess kit shades herself on her porch on Gwynne Ave in Parkdale on a warm June morning.
I'm ready for my close up, Ms Cat Lady.
I don't know you, but I want to.
A'ight going back to sleep, gedouttamyface!

summer party
Lordy, is it ever easy to party like a rock star every night of the Toronto summer! Trying really hard to stay in more often because my liver and pocketbook are taking a hit. This kitty has no problem-o, soaking some rays after a couple of PBRs on Matt Maw's deck.
Welcome, June.
Enjoy the Sun.
Thanks to Steph for this basking Vancouver cat who is NOT rolling in broken glass contrary to appearances.
